![]() I updated the drivers and so far everything is running OK, I think and I hope to god! Before when I had XMP enabled and set to profile 1 I updated my drivers on the GPU and it gave me a red screen instead of a BSOD, but it acted as if it were BSOD. Question 1: Could XMP be the cause of the THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER problem? I know I was reading that is was GPU related but after doing tests I wanted to know. So I adjusted the timings in bios manually and left XMP disabled. BIOS stands for Basic Input and Output System and it is a piece of software present inside a small memory chip on the PC’s motherboard which initializes all the other devices on your PC, like the CPU, GPU, etc. ![]() This is what I had on before which I am assuming is causing a bunch of my THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER prblems, but I wanted ddr3 16. In the bios there's XMP which I turned on to profile 1. So what I did was made bios settings all default. I think I MAY have figured it out but I am not sure. Spent an entire month replacing my RX480 with an R9 390, which did not fix the issue. List anything you've done in attempt to diagnose or fix the problem. I can choose to restart my PC, which works, but then after 1-30 minutes, it repeats the same problem. Knowing what the brand name and model number and wattage of the power supply is important, so answer crjdrivers question. When it does boot back up, I get the following error: THREADSTUCKINDEVICEDRIVER. I keep updating this because I keep running into problems. That processor and that AMD Radeon R9 390 graphic card use a combined total of 363 watts of power.
